A single hangar. A wooden terminal. That’s how it all started: a modest airstrip named Kastrup Lufthavn. It wasn’t much, but that was back in 1925, and a lot has changed since then. Indeed, Copenhagen Airport has since transformed into a state-of-the-art international hub on a mission to push the boundaries of innovation, make air travel more accessible, and ensure that time spent there feels like it flies by — all while keeping sight of their ambitious net-zero goals.

Fast forward nearly a century, and 2025 marks a huge milestone: Copenhagen Airport’s 100th anniversary. How does one celebrate something that monumental? Together with the airport, we brainstormed and built a strategy to make sure this landmark anniversary got every bit of the attention it deserved.

The celebration wasn’t just about showing millions of passengers that it was party time. It was a moment to reflect on what Copenhagen Airport truly represents: the power to connect people, cultures, and ideas — to connect the world — and what profound social value there is to travel. Indeed, travelling is about visiting loved ones, exploring unfamiliar places, or discovering new opportunities. In that sense, the airport becomes a symbol of openness, progress, and human connection. And last, but certainly not least, it was about honouring the thousands of employees who make Copenhagen Airport thrive every day whilst reminding them that they’re part of something truly special and giving them every reason to feel proud of their contributions.

We developed a comprehensive campaign to position Copenhagen Airport as a modern, global hub that delights travellers and connects people from all corners of the world. The campaign captured how travelling can be a transformative journey that enriches lives in countless ways and how it enhances life quality, fosters tolerance, and builds social skills. In its 100-year history, Copenhagen Airport has played a pivotal role in making international connections feel both seamless and meaningful, and the campaign demonstrated just that. Eye-catching billboards, engaging social media posts, a sleek new anniversary logo, and more, every detail was thoughtfully designed. We also brought cutting-edge genAI technology into the mix, creating dynamic videos that spoke to both internal and external audiences.
